biggerpictures is an award winning independent feature film and television production company developing a slate of ground-breaking feature films, television and internet projects for the international market.

The company was founded by producer Darren Bender.

Its first feature film, Exhibit A, was nominated for 3 BIFAs (British Independent Film Awards) and won Best UK feature at the Raindance Film Festival.

Bigger Pictures released our first movie on DVD in December. See www.exhibitathemovie.com for further details.

To raise awareness of the film we decided to release it free on line for a limited period via our friends at www.indiemoviesonline.com where it was watched over 11,000 times in the first month.

We are now in discussion with a US distributor who will make the film available on various platforms stateside in the spring.

Exhibit A is an award winning film and has received numerous rave reviews and is gradually building up a substantial fan base.

Its uncompromising and innovative story telling is making many fans of Dom Rotheroe's incredible script and the great achievements of all the actors especially Bradley Cole who was nominated as Best Newcomer at the 2007 British Independent Film Awards for his performance.

A skinny and precociously cynical 12-year-old boy, goes on the run with his mother from her abusive boyfriend. But now that they are alone together on a beautiful beach, the years of accumulated resentment and mistrust leave each of them isolated.

After nearly drowning in the sea, the boy finds himself on an extraordinary journey into parallel worlds and alternate realities where he encounters a mysterious and mischievous old man, who is alternately charming, infuriating, childlike and wise. Only through the delightful revelation of the old man's true identity does the boy discover what home really means and learn to reclaim his childhood.

GLENDRAGON - a kung fu country girl takes on London's deadliest Triads.

An orphaned young woman longs to escape the most remote Chinese takeaway in the Scottish Highlands, where every day for the last 15 years she has undergone gruelling martial arts training with her dominating grandfather. When hired killers burn her home and kill her grandfather she is forced to run for her life to the only place she won't stand out in the crowd, London's Chinatown.

She falls in love with the heir to a two thousand year old secret Triad empire before she discovers her grandfather was hiding her from a cross generational blood feud headed by her lover's father. Can love unite the two families or will all of one family have to die before the feud can finally end.
